COP Events - 7th Meeting of the Committee of Deans of the COP in the Kingdom

The University hosted on Thursday, 24 Shaban 1439H (May 10, 2018) the seventh meeting of the Committee of Deans of the College of Pharmacy in the Kingdom. The proceedings of the meeting began at 9:00 am under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abdulkareem Al Bekairy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Abdulkareem Al Bekairy started the meeting with a speech in which he welcomed his fellow Deans and thanked them for their confidence in his election as Chairman of the Committee. He asked God to help the Commission in the service and development of the Faculties of Pharmacy in its various programs and academic, scientific and research plans and in the graduation of competent national competencies. Reviewed the agenda of the meetings.

In their meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abdulkareem Al Bekairy, Pharmacy Deans agree on the national competencies of graduates of their Colleges.

The agenda of the meeting included nine topics that the meeting discussed at length, including:

Identify future business committees:
Committee for the plans of pharmacy programs and standardization of competencies after graduation.
Statistical Information Committee of Pharmacy Colleges.
Follow up Committee of the Pharmaceutical Science Market.

Proficiency test for graduates of Faculties of Pharmacy.
Proposal to Unify the Year of Excellence between Colleges.
Standard Test for Pharmacy Students.
Unified as a Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy.
National Competencies for Graduates of Pharmacy Colleges in the Kingdom.
The allocation of a number of admission seats in the program of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties of the faculties of pharmacy.
PGY-2 was changed from one to two years and renamed the Saudi Clinical Pharmacy Fellowship.
