Office of the Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs

“Greetings from the Office of the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs, COP- KSAU-HS

Unequivocally, pharmacy is a patient-centered profession that requires an extensive skill set to be acquired and implemented to optimize patient outcomes. At the COP-KSAU-HS, we provide learners with the opportunity to practice/experience pharmacists’ duties in 35% of their educational journey as part of our Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. We take pride in following the vision of his highness the Royal Prince Mohammed bin Salman in innovating, planning, and implementing the skill-based model in education. Adopting this approach enabled the COP to graduate excellent practice-ready alumni from day one after graduation.

In a recent survey, 86% of our alumni secured a job within six months. Of these, 53% secured governmental jobs and non-governmental entities hired 47%. I believe this is a testimony of our mission to graduate premier pharmacists into the pharmacy field at their highest level of job readiness. Our mission in the clinical affairs division is to guide competent students/interns to be in their best professional shape for them to work at the top of their license upon graduation. We aspire for excellence and are committed to graduating high-quality pharmacists into the national workforce. This excellence was translated into graduating highly-skilled alumni who are currently leading the pharmacy profession in various areas including but not limited to academia, clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacies, pharmaceutical corporate, entrepreneurship, legislative authorities, and industrial pharmacy.

We are proud of our collaboration with successful partners from all training sites. Nevertheless, we wish to extend our hands to all interested organizations/companies looking to acquire early talents in the field of pharmacy to reach out to our department.

The clinical affairs department is immensely glad to serve our students/interns/alumni. My office will always be open to any concerns and inquiries. Finally, for any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email: ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
