The College of Pharmacy, KSAU-HS and the Pharmaceutical Care Services, KAMC recently hosted a delegation of four (4) representatives of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) for a consultative visit:

 

  • Dr. Michael Maddux, Executive Director, American College of Clinical Pharmacy
  • Dr. Sheldon Holstad, Director of Research, American College of Clinical Pharmacy
  • Dr. Andrew Donnelly, Director of Pharmacy, University of Illinois Hospital
  • Dr. Curtis Haas, Director of Pharmacy, University of Rochester Medical Center

 

The visit was in line with the Memorandum of Agreement between the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (MNG-HA) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).

 

From February 1-4, 2016, the consultation team visited various sites of KAMC and KSAU-HS and met with their respective administrators to:

  • Assess and make recommendations for achieving state-of-the-art comprehensive clinical pharmacy services
  • Explore opportunities  for establishing a core of research and scholarly expertise
  • Determine the current progress of the operational recommendations provided during the ACCP consultative visit last 2012
  • Assure that planned clinical and operational improvements are consistent and in alignment with current MNG-HA transformational efforts towards excellence in patient care, education and research
  • Establish research collaboration between COP and KAIMRC
