Congratulations to Dr. Abdulrahman Alshaya's Administrative Promotion

 

On behalf of Prof. Abdulkareem M. Albekairy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, KSAU-HS, together with the Faculty and Staff, we would like to congratulate Dr. Abdulrahman Alshaya for his current administrative promotion as Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs, College of Pharmacy-Riyadh, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), reporting directly to the Associate Dean, Clinical Affairs, COP-R, KSAU-HS, effective immediately for a two-year term. In this capacity, Dr. Alshaya will be responsible for assisting the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs in the management of the clinical rotations of pharmacy students and interns in the healthcare facilities. This appointment will be in addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities and clinical duties as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the COP-R, KSAU-HS and King Abdulaziz Medical City-Riyadh (KAMC-R).

 

Dr. Alshaya is a graduate of King Saud University, obtaining his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2012. He joined the University in 2013 as a Teaching Assistant of Pharmacy Practice. In pursuit of his postgraduate education he obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2017 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Pharmacy, Tennessee, USA. He completed a two-year Pharmacy Residency Training Program (PGY-1 from 2017-2018 and PGY-2 in Critical Care from 2018-2019) at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts, USA.

 

Upon his return to the Kingdom he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, COP-R, KSAU-HS in October 2019. He has been teaching and participating in all academic activities at COP-R, KSAU-HS. He is active in research with several national and international presentations and publications.
